About Foundation to Aid Industrial Recovery (FAIR)

FAIR is a not-for-profit society, registered in 1978, with the objective of furthering research and documenting knowledge pertaining to industry and business including the unorganized or informal as well as social sector organizations.

FAIR has a distinguished board of scholars and practitioners who have helped the organization's researchers and staff in completing assignments. The Directors of FAIR have been associated with industry and academic research.

Over the years FAIR has produced over 500, published and unpublished, policy reports and research papers for governmental and non-governmental organizations. Researches carried out by FAIR's team have also been published in leading national and international journals like the Economic & Political Weekly, Journal of Human Development & Capabilities, Journal of International Development, Journal of Solid Waste Technology and Management, Environment and History, Global Environment, Business History, the Journal of the Economic & Social History of the Orient, and several others.

Documentary films produced by FAIR have been screened at international documentary festivals including the Royal Anthropological International Documentary Festival (UK) and Festival of Documentary Cinema (Russia).
